The Mindfulness Programme is open to children and young people aged 9+ in groups as well as a one-to-one programme.
This 12-16 session programme was developed by Youth Mindfulness. It covers the core themes of; Intention, Attention, Gratitude, Resilience, Kindness to Self, Kindness to Others and Purpose. There is a strong emphasis on experiential learning. Sessions are around an hour long, although a bespoke programme can be delivered to suit specific needs.
By taking part in the mindfulness programme ease will be bought into their life, their mind will start to feel calm and young people will learn to develop self-compassion, empathy, gratitude and kindness.
All of these tools are priceless practices to learn and will be beneficial to them into adulthood.
Life coaching is the perfect way to work through issues or worries that young people may have. It is also a great way for young people to thrive, to find their thing and grow to be the best that they can be. They will develop practical skills to manage stresses and anxieties about their future. If they are serious about wanting to make changes, coaching is a powerful way of developing resilience and confidence as well as setting and achieving goals.
I coach young people who feel stuck. Young people who want more but just don’t know how. I coach young people who find themselves spending 2 hours Snapchatting or on TikTok but can’t find a way to have real conversations about how they feel. Young people who are smart, high achievers but lack confidence and so staying ‘average’ is the easiest choice. Young people who feel overwhelmed by choices. Young people who feel that they do not have a choice.
I coach young people who want change. Wanting to change is enough, we can work with change if there’s intention. Young people will feel safe and comfortable to work with me, without me doing it for them, they will reap the rewards of getting out of coaching what they put in.
I will enable young people to engage in discussions around job preparation, employability skills and career choices. I can support with transitional times such as starting secondary school, option choices, leaving school, going to college or university and finding an apprenticeship or employment. Young people will be supported to develop their own future action plans, whilst allowing them to explore their own hidden talents and experiences in a positive way.
Life coaching is not psychotherapy, counselling or a way to fix a young person or tell them what to do. My approach is person centred and one that allows a young person to find the resources that they already have to get the very best from their lives. I will empower and support young people to find their own way.
Not everyone connects. Its just life. This is why by contacting me for a discovery call can help us both to decide if our working relationship is going to be a positive one. If it’s not a right match, I will help you to find someone who is, or perhaps other services that meet your child’s needs.
NLP stands for Neuro Linguistic Programming; it is an approach to communication, personal development, and psychotherapy created by Richard Bandler and John Grinder in California, United States in the 1970’s. NLP gives us the tools to change our subjective experience. The area of our minds that helps us to organise our thinking, feelings, language and behaviour is our subconscious mind – this is where NLP focusses, as it produces the outcomes in our life.
Negative patterns of behaviour or unhelpful thought processes can hold us back in life, sometimes even leading to mental ill health. NLP works to disrupt those negative patterns, revealing options, opportunities and new choices – some that you may not even had realised that you had. It’s an incredibly powerful tool that I use as part of my coaching sessions with young people. It can be used for example; to overcome emotional challenges, low self-esteem, management of emotional states, increase resilience, negative self-beliefs and more. Please contact me to discuss how it can help your child.
I deliver NLP techniques in an engaging and fun way so that they can understand the process and how it can help them, encouraging them to grow in confidence and allowing them to take control and commit to using the newfound skills independently.
For NLP to be beneficial young people need to 100% commit to wanting to achieve results from our sessions. NLP is not always suitable for those with severe learning difficulties or complex mental health illness. As a professionally trained Careers Adviser and NLP Master Practitioner I am qualified in assessing the needs of young people and will always be honest if my coaching is unsuitable for your child.
Coaching sessions can be undertaken face to face, over the phone or via zoom depending on our schedules. Please contact me to discuss the best venue for your child.
Unfortunately, no. I find that young people concentrate more and get more out the sessions if they are on their own. With their permission, I can feedback any constructive points of discussion to support their progress.
Costs vary depending on the type of programme, length of commitment and the level of support required in between sessions. Please give me a call or contact me via the Contact me form and we can discuss a package that suits you.
PROJECT:ME is delivered in a variety of settings and schools. We also deliver bespoke workshops and programmes to businesses and at community events. Keep a look out on my social media pages for events details. Please contact me if you feel Project:ME would benefit the young people in your school, organisation or community group.
